Popularly called ‘Scoletta’, the Little School arose as the seat of the Confraternity of St. Anthony; the lower part was built around 1430, the upper part in 1504. In the 16th-century part, the Priory Hall contains a cycle of 18 paintings made in the early 16th century, with scenes from the life and miracles of St. Anthony. Three of these frescoes are early works by Titian Vecellio (1511): St. Anthony Makes an Infant Speak, The Jealous Husband Stabbing his Wife, St. Anthony Reattaching a Young Man’s Foot. The paintings and the Priory Hall, after major restoration completed in 2006, have regained their original splendor.
